摘要:In this work we have studied the effects of irradiation by a pulsed laser in a suspension of silver nanoparticles within a liquid. The nanoparticles were initially prepared by laser ablation technique in distilled water. Irradiation acts as a second ablation in the suspended nanoparticles and led changes in the size of the particles, they were monitored by absorption spectroscopy method. Both, the manufacture and the second ablation were performed using the same pulsed laser Nd: YAG (1064nm) pulsed with energies between 5 and 8ns – 30mJ/pulse. The number of shots in both the synthesis and second ablation was varied to find favorable conditions for resizing. Experimental conditions that reduce the size of the nanoparticle and a constant trend for the width of size distribution were found. the value of particle diameter was calculated by the theory of multipolar dispersion and its results were compared with DLS and AFM techniques. It was found that the average size of the nanoparticles can be controlled without the need for using chemical methods with an approximate 13% reduction after 14,000 shots without increased distribution original sizes.
